SUMMARY:Using Data & Analytics to Prove (and Improve) the Effectiveness of Training
DESCRIPTION:Using Data & Analytics to Prove (and Improve) the Effectiveness of Training \nWith Jason Haag from Veracity \nL&D decision-makers and designers often do not know what learning analytics are possible or what should even be measured. This is a common challenge for many xAPI implementations. Many development efforts often start with only a basic understanding of xAPI and rush into implementing it without thinking about how the data will be evaluated later on. Basic xAPI support is provided by many authoring tools and its potential often excites us\, but the default data is not often useful. \nIn this session we a joined by Jason Haag\, Co-Founder of Veracity LRS. You’ll learn how to identify simple measures that will directly support your evaluation\, reporting\, and analytics goals. You’ll leave this session with new insights on how to strategically plan and implement xAPI-based content using this approach to better measure for business impact and learning or training effectiveness. This approach/angle on this topic is unique because it starts with the end in mind (evaluation) and will provide the audience with real-world examples and tangible visualizations they can use to spawn deeper thoughts and discussions on learning and performance analytics strategy. \n[UPDATE] Due to unforeseen circumstances\, this event has been moved to 15th May 2026.  \nView the webinar recording below:

SUMMARY:Why xAPI Profiles Matter: From Data Chaos to Structured Learning Evidence
DESCRIPTION:Following on from our May session\, this webinar explores what xAPI Profiles are and why they matter. \nJoin Matthew Kliewer from Torrance Learning as he leads this session on how xAPI Profiles bring structure to learning data\, making it more consistent\, interoperable\, and useful across systems. \nAs the ADL Profile Server is phased out\, the conversation is shifting from what a profile is to how we actually use them in practice. Matt will share how TorranceLearning is supporting the ongoing use of profiles and what this means for the future of learning data ecosystems. \nIf you’re working with xAPI\, learning data\, or building connected learning environments\, this session will help you understand why structure matters.

SUMMARY:TLA Toolbox: Applying IEEE LTSC Specifications for Competency Definitions\, xAPI Profiles\, and Competency Assertions
DESCRIPTION:Ever wondered how IEEE learning standards actually work in practice? Henry Ryng has built a free tool to show you. Join us for a live walkthrough of TLA Toolbox (tlatoolbox.com)\, covering three core building blocks of the Total Learning Architecture:\nSharable Competency Definitions\, xAPI Profiles\, and the Rubric Assertion Profile\, which connects xAPI evidence directly to competency rubric levels. \nHenry will also touch on where the Experience Index and IEEE P2881 Learning Metadata fit into the picture\, giving you a clearer view of how the full TLA ecosystem hangs together. Whether you’re new to TLA or already working with xAPI and want to go deeper\, this session offers a practical\, hands-on entry point straight from someone who lives and breathes these standards.
